The LEM is equipped with large machines capable of performing the following tests: traction-compression; rotational bending fatigue; wire traction; Brinell and Vickers hardness.
Companies usually contact the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Fluminense Federal University in order to enter into agreements and contracts for the use of existing testing machines. The lab also has a lathe and a grinding machine to support the experiments.
