Computational mechanics

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University (1989), obtained a Master's Degree (1992) and a Doctorate Degree (1998) in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She is currently a Professor, was Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Vice-Director of the School of Engineering and Director of AGIR-Agência de Inovação at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). She was responsible for the creation of AGIR. She is editor of the journal of the School of Engineering at UFF, Engevista. She coordinates the Dimensional and Computational Metrology Laboratory, created by her at UFF. She is a member of the Brazilian Association of Mechanical Engineering Sciences, a member of the Brazilian Metrology Society and coordinator of the Dimensional Metrology Committee of the Rio de Janeiro Metrology Network. She coordinates several projects and advises undergraduate and graduate students. She is a tutor in the Tutorial Education Program (MEC-SESu). Her main research topics are: Computer Vision, Metrology, Bioengineering, Engineering Teaching and Technological Innovation.
